We are proud to announce that Lords Group has been appointed by Fortis as the preferred delivery partner to deliver the $12m+ Early Works package for the 5000m2 NLA commercial new build ‘Ruby House’ Double Bay.
Lords Group in an Early Contractor Involvement capacity has been working with Fortis since project inception to provide construction and buildability advice, cost planning and design advice.
The Early Works project scope includes the demolition of the existing premises, and the design and construction of the contiguous shoring system which includes 5308m of 600mm diameter CFA secant piles, de-watering, temporary waler beams, waterproof tanking, anchors, and 12,400m3 of bulk excavation.
The Lords Group Preconstruction team provided alternative design options, saving the client significant costs associated with access deeds to neighbouring properties, council anchor bond fees, and non-refundable council costs.
Construction work has commenced, and the Phase 1 early works is expected to be completed 1st Quarter 2024.
The delivery team will continue working with Fortis to progress the project towards the next phase of work.
